4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Sample Clause

One reschedule is permitted at no additional charge. Additional reschedules may incur a rebooking fee of Rs. [AMOUNT]. Photographer will make reasonable efforts to find a qualified replacement photographer.

5. Image Rights and Usage

EQUIPMENT FAILURE: Photographer uses professional equipment with backups. However, in the rare event of catastrophic failure, Photographer's obligation is limited to refund of fees paid. VENUE/GUEST INTERFERENCE: Photographer is not responsible for compromised coverage due to venue restrictions, guest interference, poor lighting conditions imposed by venue, or timeline changes outside Photographer's control. Contract Best Practices

1. Keep Language Clear

Avoid legal jargon where possible. The contract should be understood by anyone reading it. If a clause is confusing, it may not hold up in a dispute.

2. Be Specific About Deliverables

Vague terms like "lots of photos" lead to disputes. Specify minimum image counts, delivery format, and timeline.

3. Get Signatures Before Work

Never start work without a signed contract and retainer payment. This protects both parties.

4. Use Digital Signatures

Electronic signatures are legally valid in most jurisdictions and make the process smoother for everyone.

5. Review and Update Annually

Laws change, your business evolves, and lessons are learned. Review your contract at least once a year.
